CELESTIAL MEADS WINS AT 2011 MAZER CUP INTERNATIONAL!
The Mazer Cup International is the largest commercial mead competition in the world and had over 200 entries this year. Celestial Meads took a Gold Medal for 'Que Syrah, Syrah' (a petite syrah pyment) and a bronze for 'Cyser Does Matter', 'Miel Noir' and 'Scheherazade'. |

WOOT! WOOT! CELESTIAL MEADS IS OFFICIALLY THE BEST MEAD IN THE WORLD!!
Celestial Meads took home an unprecedented 9 medals from the 2010 Mazer Cup International held in Boulder, Colorado on March 26th & 27th, 2010. The next closest competitor won 5 medals. This is the largest mead-only competition in the world with entries from as far away as Nicaragua, Poland, Slovakia and the Phillipines, making this a truly international event. EQUINOX
HOMEBREW MEAD
COMPETITION : Sep 26, 2009 Noon until done - ALSO OPEN FOR MEAD PURCHASES 3-6pm
This is Anchorage's only MEAD ONLY homebrew competition and is both
BJCP and AHA sanctioned. Entries will be received at Celestial Meads on
Friday September 25th from 5:30-7:30pm. This is a great way to improve
your mead making skills since you will receive written comments from
experienced mead judges. Also, novice judges are welcome. If you
haven't judged mead before don't worry, you will be paired with at
least one experienced judge. |

(operated by the Marx Brothers) at the Anchorage Natural History
Museum, is presenting a five course gourmet dinner, each course of which
is paired with a mead from Celestial Meads extensive line up.
Cost: $60 Dinner, $80 Dinner with Mead Fare:
1. Orange Glazed
Scallops with sauteed gnocchi served with Belgique
2. Pomegranate Walnut
Salad with fresh pomegranate, spicy toasted walnuts,
chevre, vine ripened
tomatoes and pomegranate-molasses vinaigrette served with

Stew served ~ Our version of the traditional Irish stew served with Miel
Noir
4. Seared Lamb
Rack on a bed of creamy mascarpone polenta with
