Afterglow 6.5% ABV  -  $29.00 per 1/2 gal 2010 Mazer Cup Bronze Medal Winner An off-dry sparkling melomel made with pure basswood honey from Upstate New York and handpicked Alaskan red currants. This lovely pink mead represents 'Spring' in our 'Four Seasons of Sparkling Mead' series. The unique flavor of the basswood honey is beautifully enhanced by the tart, fruity red currants from Talkeetna. This one is only available on tap, so bring your growlers.

Belgique12% ABV  -  $26.00-  2010 Mazer Cup Bronze Medal Winner A sweet methyglyn made with pure honey, whole coriander and bitter orange peel. The spices combine beautifully with the honey aroma. The honey flavor starts immediately and is followed boldly by the spices. The sweetness is counter-balanced by the spices. Lively, bright and warming from the alcohol. Goes well with Mexican cuisine or other spicy foods.

Blue Ridge Harlot 13.9% ABV  -  $32.00- VARIETAL A semi-sweet traditional mead made with pure raw sourwood honey from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.  This lucsious honey has a distinct fenugreek character that is supported by leather, tobacco and wood characters. A touch of French oak enhances the natural woody character of the honey. One year of aging before release provides a mature character to this spectacular honey.

Cyser Does Matter - 6.5%ABV  - $30.00 per 1/2 gal 2010 Mazer Cup Comp. Bronze Medal Winner A sparkling, semi-sweet cyser. The best of apples and honey in a sparkling mead for sale in growlers. Low alcohol makes this easier drinking for the summer months or sitting by a campfire.

Dark Star 14.5% ABV -  $35.00 per 750ml Dark Star is a sorghum honey mead with montmorency and balaton cherries at 14.5% ABV. The sorghum honey has a distinctly caramel, malt, molasses flavor. The hint of cherries adds a wonderfully spicy complexity to this flavor bomb.

Desire 12.0% ABV -  $21.00 per 750ml A semi-sweet traditional mead made with raw desert wildflower honey. Lemongrass and verbenna in the nose. Delicate honey flavor up front followed by bright, herbal flavors. Full bodied with an off-dry finish and balanced alcohol. Try this one with a variety of seafood including shellfish.

Gingerly  12.0% ABV -  $26.00 per 750ml A sweet methyglyn made with whole fresh ginger and red currants. The ginger is bright and tickles your nose and tongue. The hint of red currants supports and enhances the ginger flavor without standing out. This is alively mead with an earthy finish.  Goes well with sushi and Asian Fusion cuisine.

Gunnlod's Tears10.0%ABV  - $21.00 per 750ml  2010 Mazer Cup Comp. Bronze Medal Winner For those who prefer a dry mead, this light and delicate little beauty has a spicy aroma and fruity flavor. A touch of French oak comes through to add complexity and smoothness. Bored with Chardonnay?  Try Gunnlod's Tears instead.

Marriage 12.0% ABV -  $24.00 per 750ml A sweet melomel made with marionberries, raspberries and a floral blend honey. Like the wedding of my son and his beautiful wife (for which it was first made) this mead is a wonderful marriage of two very different but complementary berries. This is truly a case of the whole being more than the sum of its parts.

Miel Noir 12.0% ABV - $34.00 per 750ml   2009 Mazer Cup Bronze Medal Winner 2010 Mazer Cup Silver Medal Winner 2011 Mazer Cup Bronze Medal Winner SPECIAL RESERVE - A sweet melomel made with raw tupelo honey and hand-picked Alaskan black currants. A fruity, spicy nose with a touch of evergreen. The finish is refreshingly acidic and tannic. The complex spice and fruit of the tupelo honey combines with the exciting and earthy black currants to make a truly spectacular  mead.

Odin's Gift 13.5% ABV - $22.00 per 750ml 2008 International Mead Competition Silver Medal Winner A semi-sweet traditional mead made with a floral blend honey that has a higher alcohol content and significant oak character. Look for sweet, freshcut grass and mixed fruit in the nose. Toasted oak and citrusy characters up front followed by oak tannins and alcohol in the finish.  Great with wild fowl (quail, partridge, pheasant or turkey) or game(caribou, deer or moose).

Oh Pear 13.5% ABV - $31.00 per 750ml - Available  March 26 2011 SPECIAL RESERVE - A semi-sweet melomel made with orange blossom honey and pears. A delicately flavored melomel with citrus and perfumy pear characters. This little beauty was aged for a full year before release. A great match with Asian and/or spicy cuisine.

Que Syrah, Syrah  14.0%ABV - $35.00 per 750ml  2011 Mazer Cup Gold Medal Winner SPECIAL RESERVE - A pyment made with 50% mead, 47% Petite Syrah wine and 3% Grenache wine. All three were fermented seperately using different yeasts and aged seperately before blending. Each yeast provides specific characters that harmoniously blend to produce a great pyment. Fruity and complex with significant french oak character. The tannins and acids from the grapes perfectly balance with the sweetnes of the honey.

Raizin d'Etre  14.0%ABV - $34.00 2009 Mazer Cup Gold Medal Winner 2010 Mazer Cup Silver Medal Winner SPECIAL RESERVE - A full bodied pyment made with Blackberry blossom honey and Zinfandel grapes  and aged on oak. The beautiful zinfandel grapes are complemented by the blackberry blossom honey. The oak adds a buttery complexity that makes this a truly fantastic mead.

Razzery  6.5% ABV - $30.00 per 1/2 gal  or $21.00 per 750ml 2008 International Mead Competition Gold Medal Winner 2010 Mazer Cup Bronze Medal Winner A fruity, earthy nose followed by a wonderful combination of raspberries, sour cherries and apples. A slight bready character makes this one remind you of holiday cherry pie. The lower alcohol makes it easier drinking than higher alcohol meads, but it's lacking nothing in the flavor department.

Rubus3  14.0%ABV - $32.00 per 750ml   SPECIAL RESERVE - A semi-sweet traditional mead made with pure, raw raspberry blossom honey and aged for a year before release. This mead has a wonderful fruity, custard-like flavor with a hint of toasted American oak for balance.  A long, luscious finish rounds out a truly great traditional mead..

Rubyfruit  12.0%ABV - $24.00 per 750ml  A sweet melomel made with whole raspberries. How many ways can you say RASPBERRIES!! Raspberries are highlighted in this mead, in the nose and all the way through the palate.  You may notice some spiced apples,tannins and chocolate toward the finish.

Saw Turnt  14.0%ABV - $33.00 per 750ml  SPECIAL RESERVE - A semi-sweet white pyment made with honey, and sauvignon blanc and semillon grapes. Fermented with two different yeasts, sur lies aged on French oak and a year old when released. This wonderfully complex fruity mead is made even more delicious. The acidity from the fruits perfectly balances the honey.

Scheherazade 12.0% ABV -  $24.00 per 750ml 2009 Mazer Cup Gold Medal Winner 2011 Mazer Cup Bronze Medal Winner A semi-sweet spiced melomel made with cardamom, sour cherries, plums and a hint of pomegranates. This wonderfully complex fruity mead is made even more delicious by the unique eucalyptus/lemon flavor and aroma of the cardomom. The acidity from the fruits perfectly balances the honey.

Southern Heat 12.0%ABV - $30.00 per 750ml 2009 Mazer Cup Gold Medal Winner SPECIAL RESERVE - A sweet traditional mead made with pure, raw tupelo honey from the swamps of northern Florida. Vanilla, persimmon, peach and nutmeg in the nose gives way to toasted oak, complex spice, soft fruit and caramelized pears on the palate. The alcohol and acidity balance the sweetness of this complicated mead.

Stonewall's Cyser  16.0%ABV - $34.00 per 375ml SPECIAL RESERVE - This full bodied sack cyser was made with apples and crabapples grown in Alaska, a hint of dates and raisins, and aged in bourbon casks for 6 months. At 16% abv it is brimming with apple and honey flavor. Although technically a sweet cyser the sweetness is offset by the tartness of the apples and the bourbon and oak add layers of complexity.

Tentaçao  16.0%ABV - $34.00 per 375ml SPECIAL RESERVE - A traditional mead blended with tawny port from a solera system. The port is from the central valley in California and is made with Tinta Madera grapes from 2000-2006 vintages. The mead was made with raw, dark, clover sorghum honey from Missouri using a Cotes du Rhone yeast. The port flavors (raisins, plums,oak) are further enhanced by the molasses and caramel flavors of the mead. Truly a special blend.

The Fall  9.5%ABV - $21.00 per 375ml A semi-sweet cyser with a touch of tart cherries. At 9.5%ABV this is a little stronger than a cider but definitely a little milder than most meads although it is definately not mild flavored. The tartness of the apples (and cherries) is obvious, but not overpowering. The honey softens the apples and cherries which add complexity to the honey. A great mead for the summer. Try it over ice on hot days.

The Pollinator I  17.0%ABV - $45.00 per 375ml  A traditional sack mead at 17% abv aged for 6 months in port barrels. Made primarily with NC Spring Wildflower honey and fermented with champagne yeast. This is the first in a series of strong (sack) traditional meads aged in oak barrels. Each one will be produced with a different honey or combination of honeys and aged in various oak barrels.
